Fake ATMs were found in airports Vnukovo, Sheremetievo and in some malls in Moscow.
According to “Moskovsky Komsomolets” newspaper ATMs are connected to the network and it seems that they operate normally. However, if you try to withdraw money it’s not possible. In fact the device is used by fraudsters to get access to customer accounts and cheat with their money.
Some ATMs were blocked by the police but according to the “MK” it is not known if the police blocked all of them in the airports or not.
To avoid unpredictable situations the safest way is to use ATMs situated in banks.
